First given to Alberto Contador as a sample during the 2010 Tour de France, these gloves became an accidental overnight sensation. At the time, Contador liked his socks super-tall, and asked for a pair of gloves with a similar aesthetic. Specialized designed him very lightweight short-finger gloves with a long cuff going well past the wrist, but notably with minimal BG palm padding for the ulnar nerve, since Contador wanted to maximize his 'feel' of the handlebars. These gloves have a very aerodynamic, next-to-skin fit, yet are soft and comfortable over the course of long rides.
